Plugin Collections
A deep catalog of free effects processors — EQs, compressors, saturators, and more, all with a distinctive analog character.
A collection of free analog-modeled plugins from Variety of Sound (VoS). Known for BootEQ (console EQ), FerricTDS (tape dynamics simulator), ThrillseekerVBL (vintage broadcast limiter), epicVerb (algorithmic reverb), and several others. All focused on analog character and musical processing.
The analog modeling quality is genuinely impressive for free plugins. FerricTDS in particular captures tape saturation and dynamics beautifully. These plugins were among the first to prove that free plugins could sound as good as paid ones. Huge influence on the free plugin community.
Windows/VST only, and no longer actively developed — but the plugins still work and still sound great.
The analog character tools (FerricTDS, BootEQ) add warmth and life to game audio that sounds too digital. epicVerb is a solid reverb for spatial processing. Good for adding analog texture to modern digital recordings.
