A free bass management plugin from Plugin Alliance / Brainworx. Gives you precise control over the sub-bass region — you can filter, boost, or reshape everything below about 500 Hz. Has both a high-pass filter and a low-frequency boost, so you can cut the rumble and add weight at the same time.
The mono-maker feature is particularly useful — it collapses stereo information below a chosen frequency to mono, which is important for bass-heavy mixes and anything going to a club system or game audio engine.
The mono-maker alone makes this valuable for game audio. Sub-bass in stereo can cause phase issues on different playback systems. Collapsing low frequencies to mono ensures consistent bass across speakers, headphones, and mobile devices. The filtering is also useful for cleaning up low-end on ambient recordings.
